Energy Modalities that begin with ‘E’

 

Two energy modalities that begin with ‘E’ that I have tried are Emotional Freedom Techniques® (EFT) and Emotion Code. I explain my experience with them both below.

 

EFT – Emotional Freedom Techniques®

 

EFT, or Emotional Freedom Techniques® is most commonly known as The Tapping Solution. Their basic premise is “The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system.” Unlike many other modalities that suggest that illness is a result of negative emotions. Either way, most all agree that there is trapped energy within the body that needs shifting or releasing.

EFT has five steps for its release process. The EFT Tapping Basic Recipe blends focused wording with a 9 point Tapping sequence.

My Experience with EFT

 

I found it didn’t take much to learn EFT. I just downloaded the information and chart off the Internet and started practicing. Although it is a simple enough process to learn and do alone, I preferred to have a practitioner guide me through it – probably because I was in the thick of some deep grief at the time and wanted, or needed some emotional support.

 

Emotion Code

 

Dr. Bradley Nelsen is the author of the best selling book, The Emotion Code. I find this system much easier to learn and do than his above-mentioned The Body Code.

This is another energy clearing modality that uses one’s own body wisdom and muscle testing or a pendulum to find the answers and release trapped emotions. (See Chart below)

Five Things You Should Know to Use The Emotion Code Correctly

 

  1. Trapped Emotions are identified individually and released one at a time, not in groups or bundles.
  2. To release the pain, each trapped emotion had to be identified as a single and separate energy. One uses simple questions and muscle testing or a pendulum to get answers to the questions to identify where the trapped emotion is. Sometimes one only needs to know ‘where’ the trapped emotion is, other times, it is necessary to know more – like when did this trapped emotion occur, whether it is a generational pattern or the individual’s own trapped emotion. Each one needs to be recognized, inquired about, cleared, and confirmed as having been cleared before moving on to ask about others that might be there.
  3. The Emotion Code is a very precise method.
  4. It is important to let the body tell you how much Emotion Code work to do in a session. Most of the time you will find that you can identify and release about five to ten trapped emotions in a twenty minute session.

 

The body needs a few days to process trapped emotions after they are released. This is a healing time, when you may feel some side-effects of processing the emotions that were just released. Most of the time, processing is pretty mild and isn’t really noticed. You’ll usually feel lighter and less burdened.

According to their official website, The Emotion Code “works very well when the protocol is followed correctly. We do not recommend mixing modalities or adding your own style when you are doing the Emotion Code. … It only takes a minute or two to identify a trapped emotion so you can usually get out of pain or solve an issue in pretty short order, even when there are several emotions that need to be released in a session.”

 

My Experiences with The Emotion Code

 

I have received and done The Emotion Code many times and always notice an energy shift and releasing of trapped energy during a session. I would have to say this is one of my favourite modalities. It is easy to work with by ones’ self and basically costs nothing for training.

 


Whether you think ‘energy healing’ is all a bunch of hokum, there is a lot of scientific evidence that goes back several decades, even centuries that point to energy within and all around us. Think Nikola Tesla, quantum physics, or even going back to ancient wisdom teachings and theology or religion.

Some energy modalities are easy to learn and some are more complicated. Some can be self-administered and others are generally administered by a certified practitioner. Some are fairly inexpensive; others cost a lot of money either for training or receiving the treatment. It’s up to you to seek out and see which one(s) work for you.

 


Disclaimer: Certain ideas about energy healing really resonate with me, but yet, when I tried them I didn’t get the results that others were getting, therefore I cannot and will not say that any one modality is the end-all, be-all. (Please consult your own health care provider to find out what is best for you.)

I will explain to you my understanding and my practices, but I know from trial and error that what works for me may or may not work for you…
