About Me

A friend sent this picture because he knew I was developing my online business.

This is the place where I will tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Linda Wall; I live in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada.

I am a Baby Boomer – born in the mid-fifties. I have lived my whole life here in Beautiful British Columbia.

Writing/Editing Experience

  • I’ve been writing all my life – poetry has been very cathartic for me ever since I was a child.
  • I have also published a few small collections (Watching Big Brother – essays; and The Dance of Intimacy: love, loss and longing through poetry)
  • I have also written and produced newsletters for a few non-profit organizations.
  • I have edited a few books and got them to the ‘print-ready’ stage
  • I have published a few small chap-books (32 pages)
  • I am currently working with a client on her biography (a much longer process than previous projects – +500 pages so far)
  • Editing and proof-reading essays, books and university papers
  • I dabble in simple graphic arts projects (adding text to graphics…)

I am looking forward to branching out and facilitating workshops online and in-person:

  • Budgeting workshop
  • Low-Cost Cooking workshops
  • Publishing Options workshop
  • Self-Esteem course
  • And Others

My Education

With some fits and starts, I graduated from high school in the late ‘70s at the age of 22 with a 2-year-old daughter.

I am a life-long learner, and it seems every decade I have gone back for some kind of schooling:

  • Bookkeeping certificate,
  • Fashion Design & Merchandising diploma
  • Bachelor’s Degree in psychology.

Nowadays I tend to take much shorter classes – such as weekend workshops, or six to twelve-week courses, mostly involving spiritual teachings or personal growth.

I love participating in self-improvement, and personal growth workshops such as The Forum back in the 80s and the Pursuit of Excellence in the 90s

My Personal Life

I have had one pregnancy and raised my daughter mostly by myself. She is now in her mid-40s and got married on 12-13-14 @15:00 (December 13, 2014, at 15:00 hours) [3 p.m.]

I have been married and divorced once. And I have loved and lost many times.

Currently I am single/divorced and have been for many years. Today I enjoy my own company, although it would be nice to have a male friend for conversation and companionship.

My Personality

I come from the school of hard knocks.

I have been a people-pleaser, a door-mat, a martyr and a rebel who has evolved into a loving, kind, compassionate, forgiving, independent, caring woman.
