Book Review– Wealth, Riches, and Money

Wealth, Riches & Money: God’s Biblical Principles of Finance by Craig Hill and Earl Pitts is, as the title says, biblically inspired. I don’t consider myself a Christian, more so, spiritual, but I found they made some intelligent, sensible points.

Such as, tithe first, get out of debt, avoid situations of having to pay interest – which they consider just money down the drain, or having a money bag with a hole in the bottom providing leakage of one’s hard-earned money, and creating a ‘closed-circle’ budget. This was one of the most profound points they made. I took a lot of time studying this concept, and am still working on what my closed-circle budget will look like…

Overall, a great book with great budgeting and financial principles and how to use them.

I highly recommend it.

Update November 7, 2020

As I applied the principles in this book, from the end of February 2020 to the end of October 2020, in eight months my Net Worth increased by $ 2,527.96, not an easy feat for one on a limited disability during the Covid-19 epidemic!!!

Update April 2021

As I continued to implement these principles and focused on decreasing interest-incurring debt by paying down my credit card every chance I got, I’ve gotten my balance below $1,500 from a high just shy of $5,000 when I started in March 2020.
