Inspiration – to inspire

The Process Of Being Mentally Stimulated

I get my inspiration from many sources.

Books

Reading from many spiritual or philosophical sources have been great sources of inspiration that have led me to different spiritual paths. During the 80s I was on a serious search for the ‘meaning of life,’ and whether there really is a ‘God.’ I read many New Age books like Shirley Maclaine’s Out On A Limb, Dancing In the Light, Don’t Fall Off the Mountain, and You Can Get There from Here. Wayne Dyer’s book Real Magic was very enlightening and inspiring for me.

In general, a well-written book on any subject inspires me. I think of Richard Bach and all of his books as well-written. I especially loved Jonathan Livingston Seagull, Illusions, One and Bridge Across Forever. I also enjoyed Running From Safety.

And my newest favourite author, Jeff Brown has created many new words in his book An Uncommon Bond, such as:

  • woundmate’ rather than Soulmate, or
  • Soulendiptious rather than serendipitous, or
  • ‘lost is our own Soul-o dance.

These are just a few.

People & Discussions

I love a good philosophical discussion with friends. And I also enjoy watching documentaries that bring up intriguing aspects of life and the nature of the world and ‘reality.’

Gregg Braden and Bruce Lipton are two authors that inspire me.

Many People Inspire Me

Oprah Winfrey is probably one of the most inspiring and influential woman for me, as are Ilyana Vanzant, Maya Angelou and even Elizabeth Taylor was an inspiration to me back in the 80s. Each one has had their share of tragedy and heartbreak and was able to rise above it and go on to achieve great success.

Ceremonies and Rituals

I study and I participate in First Nations, ‘pagan’ or ‘goddess’ ritual ceremonies because they are nature-based. I have attended several First Nations Sweat Lodge ceremonies, Pipe, and Smudge ceremonies. And I regularly participate in Pagan/Goddess New & Full Moon ceremonies, either alone, or with other Sister-Goddesses.

Nature – The Divine Influence

Nature, especially the night sky and the moon inspire me. Some of my favourite poems that I have written have been inspired by Nature. I look up, questioning, looking with awe the vastness of the Universe – wondering where IT ALL began, who and how it was created.

The Drawing IN of Breath

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,

but by the moments that take our breath away.”

~ Vicki Corona

Beauty takes away my breath; beauty takes many forms. I find so much beauty in nature, from the tiniest of flowers to the majestic mountains of the Rocky Mountain Range in British Columbia, up towards Golden and Revelstoke. So majestic and magnificent!!

To be inspired is to be stimulated mentally via many forms whether it is books, or people, or nature, or experiences.

Inspiration is the creative force of the universe – the very Breath of Life.

To be inspired is the desire to create – to give breath and life to something new whether it be writing a poem or a novel, or drawing, painting, sewing, or crafts, or even creating new life.
