Book Review – Alcoholics Anonymous 4th Edition
March 21, 2020
Otherwise known as ‘the Big Book’ by members of Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) the fourth edition of Alcoholics Anonymous, “the story of how many thousands of men and women have recovered from alcoholism” consists of several parts.
Part One consists of the first 164 pages which is considered the laying out of the 12-Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous. The balance of the book consists of stories ordered in three parts:
Part I – Pioneers of A.A.;
Part II – They Stopped in Time; and
Part III – They Lost Nearly All.
The ‘big book’ is suitable reading for alcoholics looking for release from ‘a seemingly hopeless state of body and mind,’ as well as family and friends concerned about their alcoholic loved one.
I Highly Recommend.
